Vish has built an investment career living and breathing consumer brands. Prior to the Future Business Partnership he was a Partner at Bluegem Capital Partners, Europe’s leading consumer specialist mid-market private equity fund, where he invested over €150m of capital.

Through his directorships of brands such as Liberty London, Mamas & Papas, Christys’ London and Jack Wills, he has seen the consumer sector start to undergo a transition towards a greater focus on ethics.

With a personal passion for his communities, the environment and workplace ethics, as well as a recognition of the scale of the commercial opportunity, Vish is now looking to address an attractive, socially imperative, yet underserved sector.

Tracey has 20 years of private equity experience across Europe, always focused on leading consumer businesses. She has invested over €500m during the course of her career at DB Capital Partners, MidOcean Partners, Terra Firma and NEO Investment Partners.

With board-level experience at brands including Odeon Cinemas, Tank & Rast and Tom Dixon, she has had first-hand experience of both the opportunities and complexity faced by brands of every scale.

Her passion and focus now is to partner with talented business leaders to help them accelerate growth and achieve their full potential. With the Future Business Partnership, Tracey brings her business expertise to the sustainable consumer industry to nurture mission-driven entrepreneurs and equip them to build successful consumer brands with best-in-class environmental and ethical credentials.

Karim Dhalla

Principal

Karim is responsible for building relationships with companies, leading them through our investment process and partnering with management teams to achieve their goals. He also drives the development of our network of outstanding, up-and-coming, sustainable and ethical consumer brands.

Karim was previously in the Private Equity team at Neuberger Berman, a global investment firm that manages over $85 billion of private market commitments. He began his career in the Corporate & Institutional Bank at RBS and is also a Chartered Accountant. Karim is the Chair of the Risk & Audit Committee, Treasurer & Board Member of AfriKids, a high impact organisation that works with communities in West Africa to ensure even the most vulnerable children are healthy, safe and in school.

With a background in commercial investment and a strong affinity for companies with purpose, he works with the best mission-led businesses to deliver superior growth and create positive social and environmental impact.

Peggy XU

Associate

Peggy has 5 years of experience in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance in Australia. In 2022, she moved to London to pursue a MBA at the London Business School.

Peggy joined FBP initially as a summer Investment Associate, responsible for evaluating and executing investment opportunities. After completing her MBA, Peggy returned to FBP as a permanent member of the Investment Team.

Prior to her MBA, Peggy was an Investment Banking Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

yudi singh

Finance Director

Yudi has proven experience in building, scaling, and managing finance functions across Private Equity strategies and is responsible for the financial and operational activities at the Future Business Partnership.

Yudi previously worked at Balderton Capital and Hollyport Capital. At Balderton, Yudi held a senior finance position supporting the firm through a transitional period following the fundraise of its latest venture fund and its first fully-fledged growth fund. At Hollyport, Yudi was fundamental in building the finance function from 1 to 8 personnel during a period where the firm’s assets under management grew considerably from c.$500m to over $2bn.

At the Future Business Partnership, Yudi is committed to working with stakeholders to navigate through the evolving regulatory and reporting landscape and providing all stakeholders with transparent, best-in-class impact reporting.

Yudi is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and trained for his qualification at Deloitte.

Roland Sieker

Operating Partner,
Sector Lead for Sustainable Food & Drink

Roland has a successful 25+ year track record in the fast moving consumer goods industry, in launching and building as well as buying and selling brands. He spent most of his career at Unilever, in both local, regional and global leadership roles in marketing, strategy development and M&A, including responsibility for the company’s global Foods sustainability agenda.

He is now an independent strategy consultant, non-executive director of Unilever Germany and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Berlin-based Veganz Group AG, the leading vegan food brand in the DACH region.

Acknowledging the many shortcomings of the current global food system, not least its role in accelerating climate change, Roland is passionate about shaping and developing businesses into a wider “force for good” and delighted to support FBPs mission of identifying and investing in companies striving for a better, more sustainable future.

Simon Colbeck

Operating Partner,
Function Lead for Sustainable Supply Chain

Simon is a sustainability and innovation leader with a wealth of experience in retail and manufacturing. He has deep expertise in bringing commercial sustainability to the consumer value chain, across product technology, product development and composition, supply chain technology, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, safety and quality assurance.

Prior to working with FBP Partner Vish Srivastava at the UK’s leading premium nursery goods brand, Mamas & Papas, where he was Director of Quality and Engineering, Simon held a number of leadership roles in supply chain and product development at Marks & Spencer, with a long standing personal involvement in its sustainability initiative, "Plan A".

He was instigator of Marks and Spencer’s widely acclaimed clothing take-back scheme “Shwopping”, a pioneering partnership with Oxfam which successfully reduced textile waste to landfill and created significant revenue for the charity. He also introduced fair trade cotton and recycled polyester to Marks and Spencer's garments, which were to become key pillars of the sustainable raw material element of the Plan A program.

Simon is a member of the British Fashion Council’s “Positive Fashion” board, a cross industry international forum which challenges the fashion industry to create a more sustainable future for itself. He was a founding director of “Remade with Hope”, an upcycling and secure stock disposal service for retailers which supports rehabilitation in the prison community through training and employment. He was previously a Board Member of the Better Cotton Initiative "Fast Track" initiative investing a collective pool of international retailers and brands funding into developing sustainable cotton supply chains for the future.

Gina Ritchie

Gina is a pioneer of the beauty industry and an authority in buying, merchandising and retail. She played a pivotal role in the turnaround and resurgence of Liberty London, leading the team which curates one of the most iconic and respected stores in the world. Before her success at Liberty, where she worked with FBP Partner Vish Srivastava, she had delivered profitable growth for both beauty brands such as Becca and beauty retailers such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

Gina and her team at Liberty championed independent brands in a constant search for innovation. She spotted and launched some of the UK's most loved natural and ethical beauty brands, the forerunners of the beauty industry's much needed sustainable revolution.

Sally Bailey

Operating Partner,
Sector Lead for Ethical Textiles

Sally has a 25 year career building, leading, and mentoring management teams in the consumer sector.

As CEO of White Stuff, the award-winning multichannel lifestyle apparel brand, she led the business through rapid expansion, growing revenues from £13m to over £100m, while delivering sector-leading EBITDA profit margins. During this time White Stuff innovated product, opened new channels and entered new markets, without losing their customer focus and conscious mission. Sally’s deep commercial expertise in the apparel sector was developed in roles such as Merchandising Director of Topshop and as Brand Director managing the profit turnaround of Miss Selfridge. She now Chairs a number of organisations for founders, private owners, and charitable foundations.

Over the course of her career Sally has become a passionate advocate of business ethics, with a focus on people, planet and profit. Sally is Chairwoman of the lifestyle brand Weird Fish and of the ethical, global market place Everpress. She is Chairwoman of Pilotlight, an award winning charity that brings the business snd charitable worlds together to create positive social change. She also lends her expertise to a number of sustainable startups in the retail sector.

Alistair Hamilton

Senior Advisor, Fund Management Advisor

Alistair has worked in finance and private equity for over two decades and provides FBP with non-executive oversight of all aspects of its fund management activity.

He initially trained as a Chartered Accountant in PwC's Growing Businesses department before moving to Inflexion Private Equity where he was CFO for around a decade. At Inflexion he oversaw all aspects of finance, fund administration, tax, legal and compliance. He was heavily involved in seven fundraising projects and assisted in other areas of the business like marketing, portfolio management and operations. He attended the investment committee and also was a member of the firm's executive committee. He was also on the board of one of the firm's investee companies, the retailer Jack Wills, for nine years.

Since leaving Inflexion Alistair has taken on several non-executive roles in growing businesses in a range of sectors.

Alistair has always been a passionate believer in the long term value that can be built when businesses live and breath a sound ethical approach, whether this be in areas such as environmental matters, social impact or general governance. He is a firm believer in the power of business to improve people's lives and was proud to volunteer as a member of the Prince's Trusts audit committee and teach on their finance courses for young entrepeneurs.

Dr Melissa Barrett

Melissa has over 20 years’ professional experience with a focus on strategic sustainability transformation, helping organisations leverage their capabilities and potential to deliver commercial, social and sustainable impact.

After an early career as a researcher in environmental sciences, Melissa joined Arthur D. Little supporting clients across multiple sectors on their sustainable business journeys working across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She went on to spend 10 years with Accenture as Managing Director, Consumer Industries Sustainability Strategy and Future of Food capabilities. She is now Managing Director Practices, Sustainability and Impact with dss+, a global operations management company focused on building resilient and sustainable operations. Melissa has a PhD from the University of Adelaide and has worked with clients across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia.

Melissa is a mission driven collaborator and focuses her efforts on unlocking organisational capabilities for change, mobilising partnerships and supporting organisations to scale sustainable impact.

Richard has a long track record of building investment firms, as well as mentoring businesses and management teams.

He was a Founder and Head of Investments for Business Growth Fund plc (BGF), the UK’s most active and influential investor in small and mid-sized businesses, with £2.5bn of committed capital. He recruited and established 5 regional investment teams in cities across the country, and oversaw investment of £500m in over 80 small businesses, achieving significant investment returns while facilitating regional growth and entrepreneurship. He led the marketing, business development and non-executive talent network teams at BGF, as well as being a Chair of the Investment Committee. Prior to this Richard had a twenty-two year career at 3i Group plc, including as Head of International New Markets and Head of the Global Growth Capital Portfolio.

Richard and his colleagues built BGF with a social and economic goal in mind: To foster innovation and entrepreneurship in small-to-medium businesses across UK regions and launch an investment business that entrepreneurs who may shun traditional private equity would choose as a partner help drive faster growth. He has demonstrated that financial institutions can achieve positive social outcomes without sacrificing financial returns.

Rob and his team discover, approach, and build working dialogues with management and owners of the very best sustainable consumer brands and providers of sustainable solutions.

He was previously Head of Direct Origination at the Business Growth Fund, the UK’s most active and influential investor in small to medium businesses with £2.5bn of committed capital.

Rob has built a long career engaging directly with founder entrepreneurs and business owners to understand their strategic outlook as well as their capital needs.

Catherine Bucko

Catherine builds and cultivates FBP’s community of sustainably driven consumer brands and providers of sustainable upstream and downstream solutions.

Catherine has spent over 12 years working in Corporate Finance, Investment banking and Private Equity in a variety of roles, more latterly, working at NorthEdge Capital LLP, a regional Private Equity firm with £900m FUM.

Tony Revill-Johnson

Operating Partner,
Sector Lead for Food Manufacturing, Ingredients and Distribution

Tony’s 40+ years of experience in the food industry has included senior management roles with SMEs and multinationals. He has been responsible for manufacturing operations, running wholesale distribution businesses, and growing blue chip brands in the UK and internationally. He has also had significant corporate M&A experience.

As a founder member of Tropicana UK, he helped take the product, from a standing start, to be a top 100 grocery brand in less than four years. He then moved on to take responsibility for developing Tropicana’s European business with JV’s and acquisitions. More recently, Tony led Clipper teas as CEO, seeing Clipper become the number one global Fairtrade tea brand. He has also been a board member at The Soil Association, helping its certification business develop its commercial remit.

His current interests include mentoring start-up entrepreneurs, being actively engaged with ingredient bio-tech businesses as well as being an owner of Devonvale, an own label bakery manufacturing company. He is delighted to play a part in growing FBP’s role as a leading sustainability investor.
